Take home limit is 4 walleye, northern are catch and release only. Walleye must be under 18 inches. We strongly encourage catch and release. Barbless hooks must be used in Manitoba. Simply crimp down the barbs on your lures as you use them. Live minnows are not allowed. We sell frozen, salted minnows at camp.
Good communication and cooperation among your party members will help to keep you within your
"100 pounds/person" weight limit. We suggest using a soft sided duffle for your gear. Leave a set of clean clothes for traveling in your car, back at the float plane base. No need to fly them in to camp. The cost basis for our trips is based on a maximum of 100 pounds of personal gear weight per person.
Any extra weight availability on the aircraft is used to send supplies in to our camp. The more items your party can share, the more weight you'll save. Think about sharing toothpaste, shaving cream, shampoo, toothbrushes (just kidding!), tackle boxes, flashlights, spare rods and reels, whatever works for you. It takes a little planning but why not make it part of the fun of preparing for your northwoods vacation?
Average temperatures in May and September are 64F for the
